Voicemail troubleshooting

In a few easy steps, you can have your voicemail completely set up. Notifications on your phone surrounding messages and voicemails are typically turned on by default, but you may also adjust your notification settings to your liking.

However you prefer to stay in contact, be sure your voicemail box is set up properly – and that your phones software and notification preferences are kept up to date!

Setup your voicemail

On an iPhone On an Android

Press “1” on your keypad to begin voicemail set up

Or

  1. Select the Phone app
  2. Select Voicemail
  3. Select Set up now
  4. Create a voicemail password, then tap Done
  5. Enter your password again to confirm it, then tap Done
  6. Select Custom or Default
  7. Select Done to save your custom greeting

Press “1” on your keypaid to begin voicemail set up

Or

  1. Open the Phone app
  2. Tap the Three dot icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Calls
  5. Select Voicemail
  6. Select Setup
  7. From here you may change your voicemail password and customize your greeting

How to check your voicemail

On an iPhone On an Android
  1. Select the Phone app
  2. Select Voicemail icon ➿
  3. Select the voicemail you would like to listen to

Or

  1. Access voicemail by pressing and holding “1” on the keypad
  1. Select the Phone app
  2. Select Voicemail icon or
  3. Press and hold down “1”
  4. Listen to your voicemail

  1. Access voicemail by pressing and holding “1” on the keypad

Voicemail notifications

Your voicemail notifications should be turned on on your phone by default. However, you may want to check your notification settings to ensure that you’re receiving voicemail notifications in the way you prefer to receive them.  

On an iPhone On an Android
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Notifications
  3. Select Phone
  4. Turn on Allow Notifications
  1. Select the Phone
  2. Select the Voicemail icon
  3. Select Menu
  4. Select Settings  
  5. Select Restore default settings
  6. Restart your phone
