How to insert your SIM card

Proper SIM insertion is key to ensuring your activation goes smoothly and your CREDO Mobile device connects properly to the network. In order to properly insert your SIM, search for your device below for instructions.

Please wait until you are prompted to install your new SIM card on the activation web page. 

Device Specific SIM Card Installation Instructions can be located below for the following Phone Types:

  • iPhone 5 and later
  • Samsung S7, S8, S9, S10, S20 series & Moto X4
  • Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+ & S21 Ultra
  • Google Pixel 3, 4a & 5
  • Samsung A51
  • NUU F4L Flip Phone

Unpacking the SIM Card: 

The SIM Card is located in the insert shown below

Unfold the insert and gently remove the SIM card and SIM key

Gently pop out the SIM card (try to avoid touching the gold contacts if possible).

iPhone SIM Card Installation:

Important Note: Power off your phone before installing or removing the SIM card.

First we must locate the SIM slot on the iPhone, depending on the model it will be in one of three locations:

1.The SIM Tray is located on the Right Hand side of the phone for the following models: iPhone 6, 7 & 8 series & iPhone SE (1st & 2nd generations)
2.The SIM Tray is located on the Right Hand side of the phone for the following models: iPhone X series & iPhone 11 series
3.The SIM Tray is located on the Left Hand side of the phone for the following models: iPhone 12 series

Step 1: Locate the SIM tray and gently insert the sim key

Step 2: Gently press on the sim key to pop out the tray as shown and gently pull it out

Step 3: Insert the sim card in the tray and insert the tray back in the phone as shown

  • After you remove your SIM card from the tray, notice the notch in one corner of the new SIM card
  • Place the new SIM card into the tray—it will fit only one way, because of the notch
  • iPhone SE (1st & 2nd Gen), iPhone 6, 7, and series and the iPhone X:
    • the SIM needs to be inserted with the gold side facing down as shown in the below image

iPhone XS, XR, iPhone 11 series and iPhone 12 series:

  • the SIM needs to be inserted with the gold side facing up as shown in the below image

Step 4: Insert the tray into the device completely and in the same orientation that you removed it. The tray fits only one way.

Step 5: Gently press on the tray to ensure it is in the phone all the way

Samsung Galaxy S7, S8, S9, S10 series & Moto X4 SIM Card Installation:

Important Note: Power off your phone before installing or removing the SIM card and/or microSD card.

Step 1: Locate the SIM tray at the top of the phone

Step 2: Insert the sim key and press gently to open the tray

Step 3: Gently pull out the tray

Step 4: Once the tray is removed insert the SIM in the tray contacts facing down as shown

Step 5: Insert the tray back in the top of the phone

Step 6: Gently press on the tray to make sure it is back in the phone completely

Samsung Galaxy S20 series, S21, S21+ & S21 Ultra SIM Card Installation:

Important Note: Power off your phone before installing or removing the SIM card.

The SIM tray is located at the bottom of the phone - insert the sim card with the gold contacts facing up.

Google Pixel 3, 4a & 5 SIM Card Installation:

Important Note: Power off your phone before installing or removing the SIM card.

Pixel 3:

SIM tray is located on the bottom left hand side – insert the sim with the gold contacts facing down

Pixel 4a & Pixel 5: 

SIM tray is located on the bottom left hand side – insert the sim with the gold contacts facing up

Google Pixel 4a 5G / Pixel 5 (GD1YQ/G025E) - Insert SIM Card - AT&T

 

Samsung Galaxy A51 SIM Card Installation:

Important Note: Power off your phone before installing or removing the SIM card and/or microSD card.

SIM tray is located on the left hand side of the phone – insert the sim with the gold contacts facing down

Coolpad Snap Flip Phone SIM Card Installation: 

Important Note: Power off the phone before installing the SIM card. 

Step 1: Remove the back – lift gently in the direction shown

Step 2: Remove the battery by lifting gently upward as shown

Step 3: Insert the SIM card – insert gently with the gold contacts facing downward as shown

Step 4: Insert the battery and put back on the battery cover

ZTE Cymbal Flip Phone SIM Card Installation: 

Important Note: Power off your phone before installing or removing the micro-SIM card and microSD card.

Step 1: Insert your fingernail into the slot at the bottom left of the back cover and lift it up gently.

Step 2: Install the SIM card and the microSD card (optional) with the cut corner oriented as shown.

Step 3: Insert the battery by aligning the metal contacts on the battery with the metal contacts in the battery compartment. Gently push down on the battery until it clicks into place. Replace the back cover

NUU F4L Flip Phone SIM Card Installation:

Please follow these step-by-step instructions to insert your SIM card into your F4L. Please power off your phone before inserting any SIM card.

  1.  Remove Back Cover : You can pry the cover open at the corner
  2. Insert SIM: 
    • Cut edge of SIM card should align with SIM slot orientation 
  3. Insert microSD Memory Card (optional)
  4. Insert the Battery
    • Align the battery contacts, then insert the battery contacts first
  5. Replace Back Cover
    • After installing the SIM card and battery, align the cover and snap it closed. Be sure to press around all the edges to ensure a secure fit.
  6. Charger: Plug in the Micro-USB connector to charge your phone
