Anything can happen to your device out there. To ensure that you won’t have to cover the cost of replacing your phone in the event of accidental damage that falls outside your warranty, you may want to enroll in the Mobile protection plan. Additionally, iPhone® users may want to consider AppleCare Services.

Mobile Protection Plan Enrollment for Androids

Mobile protection plan coverage starts immediately if the phone and plan are purchased on the same date. If you opt to purchase coverage on a different date than when your device is purchased, the protection will start 30 days from enrollment. To be eligible to receive coverage, your phone must be fully functional and have no damage at the time of enrollment. What you’ll be covered for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage: No need to worry about cracked screens or coffee shop swipers. The mobile protection plan will have you covered.
  • Mechanical or electrical failure:  Mobile protection plan will ensure you’re covered for any mechanical or electrical issues your device might experience.

If you would like to enroll in the mobile protection plan, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Member Services
  2. Scroll down to your device, and select Phone insurance
  3. Scroll to Insure your device and select Mobile protection plan
  4. Click Add services to cart at the bottom of the page
  5. Select View cart and Continue
  6. Once you have reviewed your order, click Place order
  7. Your mobile protection plan charges will appear on your next bill

AppleCare Services

Every iPhone® comes with one year of hardware repair coverage through its limited warranty and up to 90 days of complimentary support.  To ensure that you won’t have to cover the cost of replacing your phone in the event of accidental damage that falls outside your warranty, you may want to enroll in AppleCare Services. 

AppleCare Services Benefits

For the first 24 months that you are enrolled in the program, you’re entitled to the following benefits direct from Apple:

  • Service and support direct from Apple for accidental damage (limited to 2 total) and hardware in-warranty Claims for mechanical or electrical malfunctions
  • A 24-month hardware warranty for any mechanical or electrical malfunctions. These Claims do not count towards your limit, and you do not have to pay a Deductible.
  • 24/7 priority access to Apple experts via chat or phone.
  • Apple-certified repair or replacement with Express Replacement Service
  • Service at Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers

AppleCare Services Enrollment

You may sign up for AppleCare Services at the time of sale or within 60 days of device purchase. After 60 days, AppleCare Services will no longer be an option to add to the device. 

Getting AppleCare Services

AppleCare Services can be purchased directly from CREDO Mobile within 60 days of your iPhone® purchase through your Member Services account

If you would like to enroll in the mobile protection plan, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Member Services
  2. Scroll down to your device, and select Phone insurance
  3. Scroll to Insure your device and select Device Protection Plan featuring AppleCare Services
  4. Click Add services to cart at the bottom of the page
  5. Select View cart and Continue
  6. Once you have reviewed your order, click Place order
  7. Your mobile protection plan charges will appear on your next bill

To purchase AppleCare Services from an Apple Retail Store, a specialist must verify your iPhone purchase date and confirm that the phone has no pre-existing damage.

To purchase AppleCare Services from the AppleCare Contact Center, you will be required to verify your purchase date and run a diagnostic to confirm that your phone has no pre-existing damage.

Mobile Protection Plan Costs & Limitations

The cost of the mobile protection plan is added to your monthly bill. If your device loss is covered by the plan, the deductible will be collected by Likewize at the time your claim is processed.

A maximum limit of $1,500 (minus the deductible) will apply per covered loss. A limit of two claims within a rolling 12-month period will also apply. It is possible that any replacement device will be a refurbished device of similar device type and quality.

Filing a claim

If you need to utilize your mobile protection plan, you’ll need to file a claim within 60 days of the incident. To file your claim:

  1. Login to Member Services, take note of the exact make and model of your device
  2. If your phone has been stolen, log in to Member services to suspend your account. This will help protect you against unauthorized use.
  3. Visit https://protect.likewize.com/credomobile and click Start a claim

Typically, Likewize will help get your claim filed and your device replaced within 72 hours of the claim authorization, depending upon the availability of your device.  Once you have received the new device, you will need to go through the activation process.
